Top up with a Bitcoin gift card

Dopamine Girl's Bitcoin Giftcard option currently shows an Azteco Bitcoin Voucher workflow: purchase a voucher, then forward its email to tony@dopaminegirl.com for manual handling. A shop receipt alone does not add credits, and this option does not create an automatic Crypto invoice.

Check before purchasing

Confirm that your voucher is eligible before spending money. Azteco's published terms restrict transferring vouchers for value and using them for payments outside its affiliated properties. The current Dopamine Girl screen's forwarding instructions do not establish an exception to those terms. Ask Dopamine Girl support and the issuer to confirm whether the intended use is permitted and supported.

Also confirm the accepted voucher type, amount, expiry, fees, expected credit amount, and handling time with support. The site does not state a guaranteed crediting time for this manual flow. Do not assume that a similarly named gift card, store gift balance, or a different issuer's voucher is accepted.

If forwarding is not supported, an alternative is to redeem an eligible voucher to your own compatible wallet under the issuer's rules, then use Crypto checkout. Check that your wallet can send to the invoice's network before choosing this route. Redeeming a voucher to your wallet does not itself top up Dopamine Girl.

Follow the confirmed workflow

Open Top up credits and select Bitcoin Giftcard.
Read the current instructions and obtain the eligibility and amount confirmation described above.
If supported, choose a retailer linked from that screen. Verify the exact product, region, voucher type, expiry, and full checkout cost before purchasing. A retailer listing alone does not establish compatibility.
Keep the original voucher email and purchase receipt. Record the retailer order ID and voucher Reference ID.
For a confirmed forwarding workflow, forward the original voucher email to tony@dopaminegirl.com. Add your Dopamine Girl account name/email and the amount agreed with support. Preserve the code or QR attachment so support can read it; do not redeem the same voucher yourself while it is being handled.
Wait for confirmation in the same email thread, then check Billing Overview. Follow up in that thread if credits are missing rather than purchasing another voucher.

Treat the voucher code and QR image like money. Send them only through the confirmed private support channel; do not put them in public screenshots or posts. Azteco says vouchers may expire and cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or expired. See its voucher terms.

Troubleshoot a purchase or voucher

Problem	What to check and do
My card was declined by the shop	Check the retailer's order/payment status and the bank's authorization request. Resolve the decline with the retailer or bank before placing another order. Dopamine Girl cannot complete a retailer's failed purchase.
My card was charged but no voucher arrived	Check the retailer account/library, purchase email address, and spam folder. Distinguish a pending authorization from a completed order. Contact the retailer with the order ID and receipt if delivery is missing. For example, Eneba documents pending-payment and missing-key checks.
The code is invalid	Check that you have the actual voucher code, not the retailer order number or Reference ID. Check for transcription errors without submitting it to third-party code-checking sites. Send the exact error to the retailer or Azteco.
The voucher is already redeemed	Check whether you redeemed it yourself or already forwarded it for handling. Ask support to check the existing request before assuming fraud or purchasing a replacement. If it was unused when delivered, contact the retailer/Azteco with the receipt and Reference ID.
The voucher has expired	Contact the retailer or issuer with the expiry and purchase record. Do not assume reactivation or a refund is available; Azteco's terms exclude replacement of expired vouchers.
There is a QR code instead of a typed code	Check whether it is a Lightning voucher. Azteco has separate Lightning and on-chain redemption flows. Confirm compatibility with support rather than treating the QR code as an on-chain address.
Redemption reports high network fees	Save the exact error and ask Azteco for the available options. Do not assume the voucher's face value is the amount available after all fees.

Azteco's redemption page identifies invalid, redeemed, expired, wrong-type, and high-fee voucher errors. Its redemption instructions distinguish Lightning QR vouchers from on-chain codes. Keep the full code private when sending a general error screenshot.

If you redeem to your own wallet

Follow the issuer's instructions, then check the wallet before creating a Dopamine Girl invoice:

The redemption page fails: use a supported, updated browser. Azteco lists Safari, Chrome, and Edge and says it does not support Tor, VPN, or proxy connections. See supported browsers and connections.
Lightning reports no route: Azteco recommends trying a different compatible wallet. Do not redeem to a Bitcoin on-chain address in place of a Lightning destination.
Redeemed but bitcoin is missing: check the receiving wallet's transaction status. For on-chain transfers, confirmations can take time; for a delayed Lightning receipt, check with the wallet provider. Azteco cannot cancel or accelerate an on-chain transaction. See Azteco's troubleshooting guide.
The received amount differs from the shop price: check retailer commission, any processing/network fees, and the BTC amount stated on the voucher. Azteco explains voucher fees and when the exchange rate is set. Ask Dopamine Girl support to confirm the credit amount for any manual handling rather than assuming a one-to-one conversion from the shop charge.

Once the bitcoin is spendable, follow Crypto checkout. Lightning and on-chain Bitcoin are different payment routes; use only the route actually supported by both wallet and invoice.
